Meet Our Eye Doctors

Dr. Nils W. Ohlsen
Dr. Nils W. Ohlsen is the owner and founder of Outlook Vision. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2000 and has been practicing in the Spokane Valley since that time. Originally from Greensburg, Pennsylvania he served for six years in the US Navy prior to optometry school.
Dr. Ohlsen and his wife reside in Liberty Lake with their two young daughters. In their spare time they enjoy biking, swimming and camping. They are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where Dr. Ohlsen is a former board member. He is also an active member and club officer of Rotary International. He is affiliated with the American Optometric Association, American Optometric Society and the Optometric Physicians of Washington.

Dr. Rikson Zollinger
Dr. Rikson Zollinger grew up in North Dakota and later received a B.S. degree in Exercise Science and Physiology from Brigham Young University in Utah. He continued his education at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Physicians of Washington, Spokane Regional Inland Optometric Society, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Zollinger enjoys seeing patients of all ages and enjoys all areas of eye care, including general optometry, contact lens, pre/post cataract and LASIK, dry eye and other medical eye care. He is also experienced in pediatric binocular vision development, including "lazy eye" (amblyopia) and "eye turn" (strabismus), and post-concussive/TBI eye care.
Dr. Zollinger speaks fluent Spanish, and is excited to be here in the Spokane area and be part of the Outlook Vision team. He enjoys spending most of his time with his wife and four
children - and when a free minute becomes available, you mind find him playing racquetball (where he competed nationally at the collegiate level) or golf, hunting or fishing, or possibly working on a home improvement project at their home in Spokane Valley.

Dr. Amanda Gable
Dr. Gable is from Southern Oregon. She completed her undergraduate training at Willamette University and her doctorate of optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry. After optometry school she completed a residency at Omni Eye Specialists in Denver, CO. Before moving to Spokane she practiced at Columbia Basin Health Association in Central Washington. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Allan Rhoads
Dr. Allan Rhoads received his O.D from the UAB School of Optometry. His specialties include General Optometry, Cornea and Contact Lenses, Pediatrics and Dry Eyes. He has been in practice for 30 years and belongs to the American Optometric Association and Armed Forces Optometric Society. Dr. Rhoads says what made him specialize in his field was: “My dad is an Optometrist and showed me many of the interesting aspects of eye care.”
He has lived in Ohio; Florida; South Dakota; South Carolina; Madrid, Spain; Ramstein, Germany; and finally Spokane, WA for the last 10+ years.
